Microstaq’s Silicon Expansion Valve (SEV) and Super Heat Controller (SHC) based superheat control system improves not only energy efficiency in commercial HVAC applications, but increases compressor life as well. Tight, repeatable superheat control ensures that liquid does not reach the compressor, while also increasing efficiency of the evaporator. Microstaq’s super heat control system made up of a SEV and SHC (or Thermal Super Heat Controller (TSHC)) can be designed into commercial HVAC systems. This solution runs independently across all conditions and can communicate with a central controller. Because of the flexibility and adaptability of the valve and controller, system design cycles and testing time can be reduced.
